Technical aids that support people with disabilities in everyday life, e.g. voice assistants, intelligent prostheses or stair lifts. These technologies help to reduce barriers and increase the independence of older people or people with disabilities.
Other examples include electronic reading aids for the visually impaired, wheelchairs with voice control or smart walking aids with fall prevention. Digital communication aids that support people with speech disorders are also part of this area. Assistive technologies play a key role in inclusion and significantly improve the quality of life of many people.
