Automated emergency call systems

How artificial intelligence enables self-determined living

Automated emergency call systems are technologies that automatically raise the alarm in an emergency and request help without the user having to make an emergency call manually. These systems are often used in care facilities or in home care and continuously monitor the health and safety of people, especially the elderly or those in need of assistance.

They use sensors that detect falls, unusual movements or changes in health and can automatically notify emergency services or a carer. Automated emergency call systems help to shorten the response time in an emergency and increase the safety of the people concerned.

All tablets swallowed whole reached the stomach without any signs of dangerous swallowing. Crushed forms, on the other hand, led to significantly more residue in the throat, which can impair the absorption of the active ingredients and promote complications. Credit: Shutterstock
