Anja Herberth

Founder &publisher of the SmartBuildingsCompass

Anja Herberth is the publisher of SmartBuildingsCompass and has spent many years exploring how people can live safely and independently at home as they grow older. She brings 25 years of experience in strategy and communications management, including her work as a press spokesperson, and since 2013 she has advised companies on demographic change through her consultancy owl lab.

She deepened her journalistic skills in the Entrepreneurial Journalism Creators Program at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism in New York, and her own family’s experience with caregiving has shown her how difficult it can be to find the right support.
